Portage County Fire Department IDs Cuyahoga County Police & Fire Identifier List
This list represents an agreed upon list of unit
identifiers for Cuyahoga County public safety forces. The police department list has
been used for years within the county, while the fire department list has been introduced
more recently.
Police Departments:
1. The localities in red, while
located in Geauga County, are included in this list because they have been or are
dispatched by the Chagrin Falls Police Department...
2. The localities in blue, use
another numbering system for their radio traffic, sometimes they are the officers LEADS ID
while others are simply just another manner of identification.

Fire Departments:
This is relatively new, somewhat unused beyond eastern Cuyahoga County,
and I don't have all of them handy. The first two digits are indicative of the
locality, third is type of appartus, and the fourth is the number of the appartus.
For example, 2625 is Strongsville Engine #5.
