First off, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am an ordained Roman Catholic priest serving in the Diocese of Cleveland. I was ordained on May 13, 2006 and will serve as a Associate Pastor of Holy Family Parish in Stow (Ohio), for my first assignment. I am also a 2001 graduate of John Carroll University and Borromeo Seminary with a degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy. It has always been a desire to serve people through the special ministry of the priesthood, and interestingly enough, experiences within the radio hobby thus far have offered tidbits to take with me in ministry - maybe even one day, resulting in becoming a chaplain for a local public safety force! Secondly, I have been an amateur radio operator since 1994. I have been active across many different aspects of the hobby including packet, APRS, and VHF/UHF voice operations. I ran a packet BBS in Strongsville for 4 years providing local area user access and forwarding between Cleveland and Pt. Clinton. I am a member of the North Coast Amateur Radio Club. Even more so, my first "love" in radio, and which continues to be even today, is the time devoted to public safety scanning. This is what I credit for getting me my license and providing some of the most interesting enjoyment of the hobby. I have owned or at least, played with, countless scanners while listening to countless things - the majority of my listening interests consists in local police and fire department communications. Finally, the thing which interests most interested hobbyists - the equipment list: Feel free to email me: jrm@neohioscan.com
